How to install Geoserver on cPanel

unzip geoserver-2.0.2-bin.zip
cp –R geoserver-2.0.2 /usr/local/geoserver
find / -name jre
export JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/jre/
cd /usr/local/geoserver/bin
./startup.sh
cd /usr/local/tomcat/apache-tomcat-7.0.47/bin
./shutdown.sh
./startup.sh
http://serverip:8080/geoserver
export JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/jre/
export GEOSERVER_HOME=/usr/local/geoserver/
/usr/local/geoserver/bin/startup.sh &
Now you need to add a user to /usr/local/tomcat/apache-tomcat-7.0.47/conf/tomcat-users.xml
The following file defines a user “admin” with password “geoserver:
